Review of Event – The Sustainable Cities Round Table / Future Melbourne Forum, 31 October
The Sustainable Cities Round Table / Future Melbourne Forum was recently held on the 31 October. The event, proudly supported by the City of Melbourne as one of the Future Melbourne Forums brought together a wealth of urban sustainability knowledge by local presenters; Melanie Dodd, Graham Crist, Eva Migdal, Prof Catherin Bull, Steve Mushin, Jon Ward, Catherine Stutterheim and Rob Adams. We were also graced by the presence of international speaker, Francois Jegou, Director of the Brussels-based design research company, Solutioning. The overall theme – “Visioning Sustainable Cities” – provided a rich context for peoples’ visions in a variety of fields and backgrounds.
Footage of all these presentations are now uploaded on SustainableMelbourne.com (click on the “Sustainable Cities Round Table” tag at the top of the screen). Thank you to all the presenters for their contributions and to all the people who participated!
Although this is the last Sustainable Cities Round Table for this year, there are many more planned for 2008. If you would like to be placed on the Sustainable Melbourne mailing list for reminders of these upcoming dates, or if you would like to put your name on our invitation list, please contact Ferne Edwards at fedwards @unimelb.edu.au.
