Resource – ‘Change the world’ website, SBS

Posted in Movements, Visions by sbschangetheworld on October 8th, 2007

SBS has just launched a new website which challenges people to 1) actually enact small positives steps to change the environment, and then 2) tell us about it! The goal is to build an online community based around practical sustainable living ideas, and there’s a $3000 ethical investment portfolio to win for the best contributor. The prize is only open to Australians and the competition is only running for 3 more weeks, so get involved!

Here’s the official spiel, and have a read below and then check out the site link: www.sbs.com.au/changetheworld

Every day each of us has the opportunity to make a positive change in the world through our individual actions.

That’s what Change the World in 5 Minutes is all about.

Change the World (www.sbs.com.au/changetheworld) showcases nine short films based on the book “Change the World for 10 Bucks“, all aimed at inspiring a conversation for change.

The good news is you can join in and make a change by visiting the site and participating in the thriving online community at www.sbs.com.au/changetheworld.

Even better, you could win a $3000 ethical investment portfolio, so you can really put your money where your ethics are!

Share the ways you are making a difference to the world through your everyday actions.

Create your individual profile page, then engage and interact with other users by uploading your photos and videos, sharing “good news” articles, playing games and quizzes, and rating content that other people publish.

cheers,

Heidi Lenffer
