‘No Impact Man’ film screening
Monday 20 August 2012, 6.30pm
Port Phillip EcoCentre, St Kilda
Follow the Manhattan-based Beavan family as they abandon their high consumption 5th Avenue lifestyle and try to live a year while making no net environmental impact.
A guilty new york liberal decides to practice what he preaches for one year: turns off the electricity; stops making rubbish; gives up tv, taxis and take away and becomes a walking, bicycling, composting, tree-hugging, polar bear saving local food eating citizen!
After the screening, there’ll be a post film discussion and action planning for a No Impact Day in the Port Phillip Region. Come and share your ideas.
Delicious snacks available. Entry by gold coin donation.
Our film nights are becoming increasingly popular. Be sure of a spot and book (no payment required at booking/gold coin donation requested on the night)
