100 Mile Trial
A group of us are endeavoring to eat more locally – from within 160 kms – for the first week of December. See plans, preparation and resources at www.ethical.org.au/100miletrial. Please let me know if you’d like to be involved in this.
When: Date of trial: Sunday 30 November – Saturday 6th December (First week of December 2008)
Next meeting #1 – Saturday 25 October at Yarraville Farmers Market, Yarraville Gardens, 12 noon, lunch together.
Next meeting #2 – Saturday 22nd November (week before trial) at Shaun & Neesh’s place, Yarraville
Ethical Consumer Group monthly ‘meet & meal’ nights
This month we’re screening “Robert Newman’s History of Oil”. November we’ll have a specific focus on the ‘consumer culture’ with International Buy Nothing Day coming up on the 29th. See details attached and below as text.
Shopping with a Conscience Supermarket Tour
A great opportunity to have a overview of thinking ethically with regards to our everyday purchases. Included presentation of issues, supermarket shop, and meal with ‘best buy’ purchases. See details attached and below as text.
When: Last Thursday of the month – the 30th October.
