Community groups and catchment authorities working on restoration of rivers across Australia can apply for the award until 30 April 2009. The National Riverprize ($200,000) is now funded by an Australian Government grant under its Water for the Future plan. Australians can apply for both the national and international award. All finalists are invited to present their projects at the International Riversymposium – the preeminent international conference on freshwater resources management in Brisbane (21-24 September 2009).
Nomination forms and entry guidelines are available at International Riverfoundation’s website .
