Outcomes from a Churchill Fellow on Green Roofs and Sustainability
Posted in Research by Rob Eales on January 13th, 2009
Melbourne resident and Victorian Coordinator of Green Roofs Australia, Ben Nicholson was selected as a 2008 Churchill Fellow, an Australian Trust established in 1965 whose principal object is to perpetuate and honour the memory of Sir Winston Churchill by the award of Travelling Fellowships known as Churchill Fellowships. This award gave Ben an opportunity to pursue his interest in green roofs and sustainability, as he was able to spend two months visiting green roofs and walls and meeting with the pioneers in this emerging eco-industry around the world.
A copy of Ben’s report is attached for your information. The report is a short read of 12 pages, but if you have limited time, go straight to the Executive Summary for the key points.
Ben strongly encourages anyone with an interest in contributing to Australias future to consider applying for a Churchill Fellowship. It is truly a life-changing experience! For more information about the Churchill Fellowships click here.
