From the website:
“NannaTechnology is the future we want to see. A future of healthy, resilient and creative individuals and communities. A society positively and proactively responding to challenges. Blending the good bits from the past with the good bits from the future. To create a hybrid philosophy, focussed on simple individual actions creating healthy people and a healthy environment.
This future will look a bit like it did for our Nannas. Individuals and communities will know and support each other by sharing skills, knowledge and produce. They will be growing their own food, cooking and baking for family and friends. People will know how to make and fix stuff; clothes, toys, tools. Life will be a little slower so that we spend more time doing less. We will know where our food comes from and truly value this necessity of life. We’ll shop less but be happier for it and creatively reuse things rather than throwing them away. We’ll reclaim our neighbourhoods from cars and make our streets safe again. But this life is a bit different than that of our Nannas. We have access to amazing technology which can support us to do things a bit smarter. We can communicate in more ways and with more people than ever before. Learn from people thousands of kilometres away. And we have the benefit of hindsight. We can choose those great things from Nanna’s era and combine them with the best we have to offer in this era. The future has never looked simpler!”
