Sustainable Schools Project

CERES (the Centre for Education and Research in Environmental Strategies, pronounced ‘series) in conjunction with the Federal government and Sustainability Victoria has launched the Australian Sustainable Schools Initiative.

Primary and secondary schools from across the nation embark upon a sustainability transformation in the areas of water, energy, biodiversity, water and waste.  In completion of all the modules, the school will be accredited a 5-star Sustainable School.  So far, there have been 140 Victorian schools who have taken part in the Sustainable Schools program with 6 of them achieving the full 5-star rating.  Some case studies are listed below:
