The Sustainable Living Foundation’s Directory Team are excited to announce conscientious-consumer supermarket tours. The monthly tours will be lead by Directory co-ordinator Nick Ray from June and will provide helpful information on all of the products, companies and issues you endorse with your purchase. The real social and environmental costs will be at hand as Nick and the team walk you through the line up of everyday items available on your supermarket shelves.

“Participants will be involved in a tangible shopping experience where they can see processes in practice, ask questions, and share their own experiences,” Nick says. By giving consumers the knowledge to make the distinction “we are arming them with the practical tools for personal behaviour change”. Behaviour that, through consumer monitoring, has the potential to generate policy change within multinational corporations.”

The tours are open to the public for a gold coin donation which includes a light meal prepared by the Directory crew.
