Planning Institute Australia (PIA) Transport Planning Chapter Forum: Can we accommodate more people living along Melbourne’s tram lines?

The State Government’s Melbourne @ 5 Million seeks a strategic expansion of Melbourne with more intensive development along major transport services. Recent debate and research has highlighted that tram corridors provide an opportunity to locate new development alongside this unique Melbourne infrastructure.
• Is this the right solution?
• If so, how do we make this happen?
• What are the challenges and impediments?
