The Earth Matters Climate Change Forum will run again this year in Ballarat.  The Forum will provide expert knowledge and information for the Ballarat community to take personal action on dealing with Climate Change impacts – such as changing weather patterns, rising energy and living costs and reduced rainfall. Tickets are now available.

Speakers and topics:

  • Dr Kathleen McInnes. Principal Research Scientist. CSIRO Marine & Atmospheric Research Climate change and rising seas – past, present and future
  • Mr David Spratt. Author and climate-policy analyst, and co-founder of Carbon Equity  Do we face a climate emergency?
  • Dr Mark Diesendorf. Senior Lecturer, Institute of Environmental Studies, University of NSW How citizens acting together can save the planet
  • Dr Richard Denniss. Author and Executive Director of The Australia Institute Consumerism and climate change: where to from here?

Information stands at the Forum will provide simple tools and ideas for making changes at home and for taking community action to deal with Climate Change impacts.

The event is hosted by Earth Matters, a partnership between local climate action group BREAZE, The Courier and The University of Ballarat.
